Looking Forward to Normal Service –
Hello to all Southern Counties Members. We are now well into 2021 and all looking forward to the second half of the year when we can hopefully resume something like ‘normal service’ and enjoy some social events with our cars. It is anticipated that from July we will be able to hold the regular Noggins in Surrey, Kent and Sussex plus some scheduled events; the first being the Summer BBQ, hosted by Anne and Piers with special emphasis on welcoming new members. This will be quickly followed by the Daffodil Run to Norfolk and then the International Healey Weekend in Worcester. Lets all keep our fingers crossed and check the Website for the latest information!
Revised Web Site Live Now
Those of you who regularly check the Southern Counties Web Site for latest information will I hope have been pleased to see the changes we have made. It became clear to us earlier this year that the old website needed some serious work to make it both robust and modern in appearance to support the Centre over the next few years. For those of you who have not yet looked at the new site I urge you to do so by following the link below. You will note that it has a completely different ‘look and feel’ and is populated with photographs of AHC events over past years with many members cars appearing. These have been taken from a few committee members archives but I would welcome any personal favourites from your own collections if you would like to see them on the site. Please just drop me an email with a couple attached and we will review for suitability.
Some of you will have read that for Southern Counties Centre, email has become our prime method of communication. This is working well in conjunction with news information posted on the Website and occasional articles in RevCounter, under the heading ‘Southern Scene’, which should help those members who are unable to open the the emails to keep up to date. I hope you will find the ‘Southern Scene’ articles both interesting and helpful. As a result of the first, in the May RevCounter, I received a phone call from a long standing member who was pleased to let me have some very interesting information including a Brochure for the first International Healey Weekend, hosted by Southern Counties at Brands Hatch in 1985. I hope to include some extracts from these in future editions.
With Best Wishes to you all
Director and Chairman
